Get ready for an updated list of the coolest cave hotels in Cappadocia, Turkey, covering all budgets. I’ll show you the top spots to stay, where you can wake up to stunning views of valleys and hot air balloons.

We’ve explored Cappadocia multiple times throughout the year, and let me tell you, it’s a mesmerizing place. It’s at its absolute best during spring, early summer, and well into autumn until December. Even winter has its own charm, with temperatures hovering around zero degrees Celsius. That makes it perfect for leisurely strolls through the valleys and epic hot air balloon rides.

Cappadocia is the ultimate Turkish destination for thrill-seekers and lovebirds alike. What sets it apart are the mind-boggling rock formations that have been evolving for millions of years.

But guess what? Cappadocia has another ace up its sleeve!

The region is also famous for its cave hotels. Here’s a rare case where humanity didn’t mess up the natural wonder created by Mother Earth and our ancestors; instead, we made it even cooler. Back in the day, ancient Christians took shelter in these caves to escape Muslim invasions. Cappadocia even boasts entire underground cities that have been around for centuries.

Historians claim that people have been living like this since the Paleolithic era. Cappadocia’s caves come with their built-in air conditioning, ensuring a comfy and cool environment all year round.

Now, here’s the real kicker. Most of these cave hotels are bona fide works of art. They’re like the second-biggest attraction after the jaw-dropping landscapes, making a visit here totally worthwhile.

And guess what? Some of these subterranean dwellings have been transformed into luxurious hotels with terraces that offer panoramic views, Jacuzzis, and rooftop pools. You’ll be sipping cocktails while surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

And don’t even get me started on hot air balloon rides. I’ve shared my own thrilling experience with those already!

Carus Cappadocia – The Ultimate Cappadocia Hotel Experience

When it comes to cave hotels in Cappadocia, Carus Cappadocia stands out as the crown jewel. This is the best choice for those who prefer convenience and comfort combined with stunning views of the valley from the terrace.

Nestled seamlessly into the hillsides, this hotel offers a luxurious cave suite experience complete with valley vistas and spacious bathrooms. Each room is a unique masterpiece, equipped with all the modern conveniences you’d expect, like a TV, pool, and spa center.

But what truly sets this hotel apart is its rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy panoramic valley views and catch sight of hot air balloons floating by. For the best balloon-watching, set your alarm early and catch the sunrise!

Museum Hotel

Museum Hotel is another gem that deserves a spot among the Cappadocia greats. Located in the fortified town of Uchisar, it’s surrounded by stunning valleys and panoramic views, with the bustling village of Goreme just a stone’s throw away.

All the hotel’s rooms are set within caves and offer hydro-massage baths, an open-air pool, a Turkish bath, and those mesmerizing sunrise views. The hotel even boasts its own mini-farm and garden where they grow fresh vegetables and fruits, which you can savor at breakfast.

Sultan Cave Suites

Sultan Cave Suites in Goreme is a name that resonates throughout Cappadocia. We had the pleasure of staying here, and I can confidently recommend it to everyone.

Conveniently located, it offers all the modern comforts you need, with the region’s top attractions, including the famed Love Valley, within walking distance. The hotel exudes a welcoming atmosphere, with its cave-like rooms perched on the hillsides.

Of course, you’ll find all the expected amenities like internet, air conditioning, TV, showers, toilets, spacious rooms, and charming terraces – everything that enhances your stay in this already captivating region. I must give a special shoutout to the rooftop terrace, which offers the most spectacular views of hot air balloons at sunrise. It’s an Instagram-worthy paradise for photographers, so remember to pack your most stylish outfits if you plan to visit – although this advice holds true for any hotel on my list.

Mithra Cave Hotel – Luxury Meets Breathtaking Views

Mithra Cave Hotel is your ticket to a lavish getaway, complete with one of the best rooftop terraces offering unparalleled views of Cappadocia’s valleys. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast, a romantic evening, or simply unwinding, this terrace provides the backdrop for the experience of a lifetime.

Situated in the village of Goreme, it’s the ideal base for exploring Cappadocia, especially if you’re a first-time visitor. Nearby, you’ll discover the Goreme Open-Air Museum, an archaeological wonder.

Kayakapi Premium Caves

During our winter visit to Cappadocia, we also had the pleasure of staying at Kayakapi Premium Caves, an outstanding cave hotel that rivals any on my list. Located in the village of Urgup, just a few kilometers from Goreme, this hotel offers a compelling reason to have a car for exploring the surrounding areas. Renowned as one of the most romantic hotels in Urgup, it boasts a Turkish bath, an indoor pool, a relaxation area, and private terraces in its rooms.

The staff left us with delightful memories. I highly recommend going horseback riding and exploring the incredible castle town of Uchisar, which is nearby. And, of course, don’t forget to plan for a hot air balloon ride!

Artemis Cave Suites – A Tranquil Cave Retreat

Artemis Cave Suites positions itself as an adults-only haven. Here, you won’t find crowds or commotion; instead, you’ll revel in peace, seclusion, and unmatched comfort during your stay. I regard it as one of the finest hotels in Cappadocia.

Nestled in Goreme, the hotel features a terrace with awe-inspiring valley views. The rooms are tastefully adorned in Turkish style and offer indulgences like jacuzzis and massages. Just like the other hotels, you can book hot air balloon flights or horseback rides here.

Divan Cave House – Another Excellent Hotel in Cappadocia I Can Recommend

Divan Cave House is yet another fantastic hotel in Cappadocia that I can wholeheartedly recommend. Nestled amidst the captivating Cappadocian landscapes, it offers all the essential amenities and comfort you need. If you’re seeking a secluded, high-quality family getaway, this is definitely the place to be.

The rooms come equipped with hydro-massage baths and other conveniences you’re accustomed to. The hotel also boasts one of the finest restaurants serving both Turkish and international cuisine, along with a bar.

Cappadocia Cave Rooms – The Best Budget-Friendly Cave Hotel in Cappadocia

Cappadocia Cave Rooms offers the same breathtaking panoramic views of Cappadocia, along with rooms that provide a high level of comfort, terraces, and other perks. And all of this comes at a very reasonable price, allowing you to wake up in the morning without worrying about your travel budget.

If you’re traveling by car, the hotel offers its own free parking facility.

Renting a car is easily done on this website – it gathers all the best local car rental providers. I’ve used it myself and recommend it to others. You can rent a car right in Goreme, on-site. Alternatively, you can plan an extensive Turkish adventure by combining Istanbul with Cappadocia or exploring the Antalya coastline, as well as the seaside resorts of Fethiye and Cappadocia.

Classic attractions are within walking distance of the hotel, such as the open-air museum in Goreme and the Uchisar Castle. If you want to discover more off-the-beaten-path beauty, renting a car is the way to go.

MDC Cave Hotel Cappadocia – A Building Carved into the Rock

MDC Cave Hotel Cappadocia captivates with its architecture, situated in a historical building carved into the rock. Inside, everything adheres to traditional Turkish style, including the design and furnishings.

The rooms feature marble floors with heating, vaulted ceilings, a swimming pool, and Turkish baths.

The hotel boasts an excellent restaurant.

Kelebek Special Cave Hotel

Don’t let the fact that Kelebek Special Cave Hotel is at the end of my list deceive you; it’s an excellent choice for accommodation. We stayed here as well and were thoroughly delighted with our trip, even though by that time, it was our third visit to this region for relaxation.

In comparison to the top of this list, it’s a budget-friendly hotel, and I can recommend it to anyone who appreciates affordability without compromising on comfort. It’s one of the best options in terms of the balance between price, quality, and location, in my opinion.

Nearby, you’ll find the Goreme Museum and the ancient town of Uchisar. The location is central, making it convenient to reach all the attractions.

I can recommend it to anyone visiting Cappadocia for the first time. The hotel has its own Turkish cuisine restaurant and a bar.

Aza Cave Cappadocia

Aza Cave Cappadocia is a boutique hotel that provides the essential comforts and all the amenities you’re accustomed to.

It offers a tranquil and atmospheric environment in a traditional Turkish style, thanks to its location, along with panoramic views of Goreme.

Each room features a balcony or terrace with panoramic views of hot air balloon flights and Cappadocia’s rocky formations.

After a fulfilling day – and in Cappadocia, it’s a must – you can relax by the pool. It’s in the pool where you’ll savor the aftertaste of a wonderfully spent day.

Let’s sum it up:

You can find cave hotels all over the world, and we’ve stayed in a few. But Cappadocia is truly one-of-a-kind, unlike anywhere else on the planet. It’s a place where you can have a comfy and exciting vacation while diving into a unique cultural experience.

Cappadocia’s landscapes are out of this world, and you should visit at least once in your life. Don’t be surprised if you get hooked and keep coming back for more.

Now, you might think that such an old and historic place wouldn’t have modern comforts. But the Turkish folks have stepped up the game in local hotels and restaurants. They offer top-notch comfort at prices that won’t break the bank compared to the rest of the world.

Here’s another perk of Cappadocia: it’s all about getting away from it all. You can truly connect with nature, yourself, and your family here. It’s like reaching the ultimate level of seclusion.

Most of the hotels in Cappadocia, including the ones on my list, are smack in the middle of things. This is super important because not everyone’s got a car, and getting to the main attractions is a piece of cake and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

But hey, if you’re up for more than the usual touristy stuff, renting a car is the way to go. It’s a breeze, whether you do it right there or at one of Turkey’s airports like Kayseri Airport. Lots of local airlines fly there.

Now, the roads in Cappadocia aren’t clogged, and they’re in tip-top shape. Signs and markers are crystal clear. Distances are comfy, so you won’t be racking up more than a hundred kilometers a day.

Kayseri Airport is the closest one to Cappadocia. It’s small but super modern and comfy. To get to Goreme, you can hop on a minibus, bus, or rent a car.

The distance from Kayseri Airport to Goreme is 70 kilometers, which is just an hour’s drive by car.

And if you’re curious about checking out Kayseri city, feel free to peek at my review and quick guide about the place.
