On the Akamas Peninsula, an interesting pedestrian route dedicated to Aphrodite, the mythical goddess of love and beauty, will soon be created. The route will start in the village of Inia and will allow you to walk along the beautiful paths of Akamas.

A total of two million euros will be allocated for its creation, and this is without considering the value-added tax (VAT). The project will be implemented over two years, and part of the funding will be provided from the European Union’s funds. It is expected that this route will stimulate the development of pedestrian and thematic tourism, as well as contribute to the creation of new jobs.

Currently, one of the most popular hiking routes on the Akamas Peninsula is the “Macikorida” trail, named after narcissus flowers. It was created as part of the Paphos-2017 project when Paphos was the European Capital of Culture.

This hiking trail starts in the village of Pano Arodes and has two versions: one with a length of 3 kilometers and the other with 10 kilometers. “Macikorida” leads through vineyards and offers breathtaking views of the sea from lookout points.
