In 2023, Qatar introduced changes to the visa-on-arrival rules for Ukrainians.

If you intend to visit this country, you now need to book a hotel for the entire duration of your stay on the website discoverqatar.qa to obtain a visa on arrival.

This new requirement applies to citizens of Ukraine, as well as citizens of Thailand, India, Pakistan, and Iraq, as indicated on the visitqatar.com website. It is also possible that this list may be expanded to include citizens of other countries in the future.

A reminder that currently, Ukrainians can stay in Qatar for 90 days within a 180-day period. This requirement applies to most European countries.

It is important to note that if you are flying with Qatar Airways and do not intend to leave the transit area in Doha, you do not need any additional documents for your transit flight.

Don’t forget to:

Purchase airline tickets

Make a hotel reservation

Acquire insurance coverage
