Best and Worst Airports in the World in 2024

AirHelp has named the best airports in 2024, considering passenger reviews, flight delays, and amenities for dining and shopping.

A punctuality score of 8.3 means that 83% of flights were on time, with delays not exceeding 15 minutes.

A total of 239 airports were evaluated, and the top 10 are as follows:

  1. Doha Hamad Airport (Doha, Qatar) — rating 8.52
  2. Cape Town Airport (Cape Town, South Africa) — rating 8.50
  3. Nagoya Chubu Airport (Nagoya, Japan) — rating 8.49
  4. Osaka Itami Airport (Osaka, Japan) — rating 8.46
  5. Brasília–Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek Airport (Brasília, Brazil) — rating 8.32
  6. Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport (Johannesburg, South Africa) — rating 8.29
  7. Muscat Airport (Muscat, Oman) — rating 8.28
  8. Salt Lake City Airport (Salt Lake City, United States) — rating 8.28
  9. Belém Val-de-Cans Airport (Belém, Brazil) — rating 8.26
  10. Tokyo Narita Airport (Tokyo, Japan) — rating 8.24

The best airports in Europe are Bergen and Bodo in Norway, with ratings of 8.07 and 8.06 respectively.

Singapore’s Changi Airport only ranked 24th, while Warsaw’s Chopin Airport was 66th with a punctuality rating of 77%.

The bottom spots in the ranking are held by three airports in Turkey, as well as airports in England, Lisbon, Belgrade, Heraklion (Crete, Greece), and Tunisia.
