During the war, Ukrzaliznytsia is actively developing and updating its rolling stock, introducing new services. For 2024, plans include 14 new routes, 11 domestic and 3 internationals.
Additionally, the quality of 19 routes within Ukraine and abroad will be improved. Transport volumes have recovered, reaching the levels of 2021. This is indeed great, I agree, as comfortable transportation is a fundamental need for people after food and medical care.
New Ukrzaliznytsia Train Schedule
The new schedule was developed considering the suggestions and wishes of passengers. In the fall, 7,000 users of the mobile application provided their proposals.
Key points of the new schedule include improvements to deficit directions: international and mountainous.
A new train for the international route №119/120 Dnipro—Khelm has been appointed. The main feature of the train is its convenient connection in the direction of Warsaw. The journey to the capital of Poland for residents of Dnipro becomes 4 hours shorter compared to the route through the crowded Przemysl.
Ukrzaliznytsia continues to develop hub connections through the Chop station. This means that new international trains Chop—Vienna and Chop—Prague will connect immediately with several popular routes in Ukraine.
Another piece of news: the train №35/36 Odessa—Przemysl—Odessa will become faster. Now, the journey from Odessa to the Polish Przemysl can be completed 50 minutes earlier. From Przemysl to Odessa, travel time will be reduced by almost 2 hours.
The acceleration of the Odessa-Przemysl train will provide more time for transfers to trains from Przemysl to Berlin. On the Warsaw—Rava Ruska—Lviv route, the rolling stock will be updated, making the journey more comfortable.
The new train schedule will be announced on December 10. Currently, adjustments to the movement schedule are being made.
