The Department of State has made the decision to allow visa-free entry to the United States for Israeli citizens.
Israel has become the 41st country to be included in the visa waiver program.
Starting from November 30, Israeli citizens can obtain electronic authorization for entry through the ESTA system. This announcement was made on the website of the US Department of State yesterday.
Israeli citizens will be able to stay in the USA for up to 90 days in a single trip for tourism or business purposes. To visit the USA, they will need to register in the ESTA system. After registration, the system will provide a response within 72 hours, which must be presented before boarding the plane.
The electronic authorization is valid for two years and permits multiple entries into the United States.
On the American side, the United States is awaiting free access for its citizens to Israel, including Americans living on the West Bank of the Jordan River and in the Gaza Strip. Currently, Israeli security services deny entry to such individuals.
