You can have your own opinions about rankings, but at the end of the day, they simply reflect the votes and reviews of millions of readers on a popular travel platform. And fighting against statistics is like swimming against the current—nothing good will come of it.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best is given to places that receive the highest number of positive reviews and ratings from Tripadvisor’s active users over a 12-month period.
Out of 8 million locations listed on the platform, less than 1% achieve this recognition. This is exactly how the 25 best beaches in the world were determined.

Some of these are well-known favorites, while others are new discoveries even for me! If nothing else, this ranking serves as a great inspiration for future trips and a geography lesson in the most breathtaking beach destinations around the world.
The competition is fierce, so some well-loved beaches, like those in Cyprus, didn’t make it to the global top 25. However, three of our favorite beaches from the island—Konnos Beach, Makronissos Beach, and Nissi Beach—did secure spots in the top 25 best beaches in Europe!
