Incredibly vibrant Mexico with its beach resorts, delicious food, and amazing routes will become more accessible as early as 2024.

Travel experts from Going predict a decrease in airfare prices from the United States to Mexico as early as next year.

The demand for leisure in Mexico has increased, with the number of vacationers rising by 33% compared to pre-pandemic levels. However, in 2023, the number of flights to Mexico did not increase, causing problems in purchasing cheap plane tickets.

The situation will undergo a significant change in 2024. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has restored Mexico’s highest level of safety as a country. This signifies a green light for opening new routes between the U.S. and Mexico.

Several airlines will simultaneously increase the number of flights from the U.S. to Mexico, including Viva Aerobus, Aeromexico, and Delta Air Lines.

New routes are planned to be launched from Austin, Denver, Miami, Orlando, New York, and San Francisco. By the end of the year, a new airport will open in Tulum—a resort on the Yucatan Peninsula, the Riviera Maya.

By early 2024, there will be a situation where several carriers will fly to the most popular destinations. Consequently, competition will drive down airfare prices.

I’d like to remind you that citizens of Ukraine can obtain an electronic permit to enter Mexico. If you have a U.S. visa, you can fly to Mexico without a visa (an electronic permit).
